Batik paintings

    Batik painting is one of Indonesia's oldest traditions. Batik is made with a special tool called "canting" as a pen, the wax and vividly coloured dyes combine to create unique works of art made on cotton. The traditional skills for batik painting are passed down from generation to generation among communities whose livelihoods are dependend on the batik trade. Batik painting depict the artists perceptions usually including brightly coloured birds, exotic landscapes, fire dragons, etc. Enjoy with my batik painting.
